Post subject: FFXIII...yeah it's about that time.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, if you're a graphic/resolution nut like me...you'll notice this kinda stuff like non stop and it'll drive you nuts if you're on an hd tv.
Been reading up on this specific subject & it's been confirmed all the FFXIII FMVs (cut scenes) run at 576p on 360, while PS3s runs at 1080p. Not a big deal to most, but yea if your getting 360 version...just thought you should know before your surprised why it looks like ass on a big hd tv lol. While I'm not completely sure on this, I think actual gameplay is 576p also...while ps3 is 720p native gameplay
So...here's summing up what I just said for the slow...
PS3: 1080p FMV, 720p native gameplay
Xbox 360: 576p 2xMSAA FMV, 576p native gameplay
Of course, nobody in their right mind would get 360 version if they had a ps3 anyway...

| Had this paid for way back in Nov lol. This GoW3, and Mass Effect 2 were my big 3 of the year. Speaking of GoW3, if anybody has seen previews of that gameplay....omg. If you havent, u might literally shit on yourself when u do. |

ok peeps, seems anyone with FF13 gets a free beta pass to FF14 for the ps3 version. Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone pickn it up tomorrow.

| Just hit chapter 9, almost to point where I can finally pick my own party members haha. I love the battle system so far... enter battle PARADIGM SHIFT > fight some > PARADIGM SHIFT > fight some more, debuff, heal, PARADIGM SHIFT > nuke nuke stagger! > PARADIGM SHIFT > own. Graphics are amazing, the CS are seamless, the music is gorgeous (jazz music for a boss fight win?). Great game so far, SE did a good job, even if there are a lot of haters out there. |

| Got it yesterday, on chapter 4. I like how fast the fights are. Beautiful game, but I cant imagine playing it through a second time. |

| Neb I can totally understand why you'd say that during chapter 4, but I just finished chapter 7 and this shit is getting so good. Just wait, if you think you're enjoying it now you ain't seen nothin yet. |

yeah im on chapter 9 myself, though I really hate how I cant explore anymore and there are no challenging quests.. and the battles are too simple, im falling asleep on boss fights with a ravager commando and medic setup at 12 am. or even mashing x on the command with my eyes shut and im still alive when I wake up. no lie. i shouldnt be falling asleep even at this time. rofl.
but I do love the game, the graphics are outta the fuckin world and the story line is great and i love how everything is voiced out now with better expression too.
its just way too linear though. |
